Let me guess, without reading

They made the food a bit better than their competition and have found a way to keep it more affordable than their competition?

Chili’s bounce back is almost entirely due to viral social media videos. That is a fact. Their stock performance is directly correlated to the viral videos, which originally started in early summer of 2024. Their stock price has gone from $54 to $160 during that window. I didn’t watch the video in the OP, but if he didn’t mention that, he’s a liar.

This checks out. Trending on TikTok or becoming a meme with a somewhat positive connotation is all it takes these days

My wife dragged me to Chilis in our town a few months ago. It was my first time going there in our new city and I was beyond impressed. The food was hot and fresh, service was awesome, and the place was clean and well maintained. I was beyond impressed and we been back several times since.

Worked at the Boulder CO Chilis for about a year back in 91. Have eaten everything on the menu and had a really good time working there. It was always busy and the crew was an interesting mix of people. That being said I probably haven’t eaten at a Chili’s in at least 20 years (not counting a random airport experience) and now I want to go try it again. Thanks for posting the video.

I hadn't been to Chilis in years then went like once in 2017ish and then again right after the pandemic.

Terrible both times. Empty restaurant, broken seating, lazy wait staff.

Went back a few weeks ago because there was a long wait everywhere else and we just happened to be close to one. It was like a whole other place.

Probably due to marketing more than anything. I haven’t noticed any difference in the food or restaurants.

I was cruely mocked on this very board for dining at a Chilis last weekend

If you're talking about the one at Four Points... it has been out of business for over a year now.

I hold fond memories from when we evacuated there in 2021. RIP Chilis.

They closed the one near us, haven’t been in years. We used to take the family as often as once per week because the manager hooked us up with “chili peppers,” and the kids always ate free. Was a good place to meet friends for a beer, too.

It’s a breakfast restaurant now. I don’t go out to eat for breakfast.

I'm honestly not sure if they have anything other than the Triple Dipper on their menu at this point

Don't think I've gotten anything else from there in the last 5 years.

Reading through this thread. How are there so many people here that eat at Chilis, and apparently frequently lol

Are most of you in places that only have chain restaurants? This blows my mind

Caveat: I didn’t watch the video.

Monterey Chicken was my go to. Haven’t really frequented a Chili’s in years. Kind of been dead to me since they took it off the menu, but went to the one on College within the last month or so and was wholly unimpressed by the quality of the service and the food.

We have a mix of everything here and we had an awesome craft beer place that was less than 10 minutes from our house that we visited 150+ times but they took a serious nosedive in service and beer selection. We really loved that place since it was next door to a comic book shop and the theater was across the street.

Nosedive in quality happened after our favorite bartender left due to an outside issue and they replaced him with someone who didn’t drink alcohol. That’s fine but the previous bartender knew everything on tap and would give great recommendations on what to pair with your food. Also for whatever reason they let a “beer snob” be in charge of deciding what’s on tap. What was at first a very balanced offering of beers transformed seemingly overnight into nothing but dark lagers, stouts, sours and meads in the middle of summer.

We only eat at the bar at our local Chili's since the service is lightning fast and top notch. They're top notch as they get our orders quickly and correct while keeping an eye on the levels of our drinks. It is that simple and it seems to be lost on a lot of other restaurants except for Mexican restaurants.
