Yes. Some are talented enough to turn it into book deals. Some, like Ree Drummond have turned it into TV shows and product endorsements.
The Mommy Blogging scene was really popular mid to lats 00s when my kids were born. Its died down considerably, but has made some moms millionaires.

The worst part is when I google something I want to cook and just want to get a general idea on a recipe and you click one of these. The recipe is all the way at the bottom after some stupid update about how Braxton's travel ball tourney went and how Ashleigh did just the cutest thing you ever did see yesterday morning.
Pioneer woman was so awful she got a shitty tv show out of it.

That's Ree Drummond.
She actually did something that was revolutionary in the recipe blogging sphere. She started telling those annoying stories and stuff, but she took advantage of increased bandwidth and posted pictures of every step of the recipe. That simple thing made her popular and she took off. She's got a TV show and a cookware line at Wal Mart.
