why do so many of yall know about mom bloggers?
Our kids were little in the middle of the craze. My wife had dozens on her daily reading list and would always send me a link - "This is so Insert Daughter's Name"
It was quite the fad circa 2003-2009. Then Twitter took over and Facebook usage amongst adults took off. Then the fad of using your kids to make YouTube videos took off because it paid real cash instead of free products and vacations.
There's one that she still reads - Meg Meeker. She's a pediatrician mom and actually writes good content instead of "Look at what my kid did today."

The worst part is when I google something I want to cook and just want to get a general idea on a recipe and you click one of these
This has become my biggest pet peeve lately. Hmm I wanna maybe do some squash on the grill...lemme see about how long I should cook it... Oh here's a recipe:

Is it a necessary that all mom bloggers have terrible kids? Most seem like simply terrible parents....must be the stress of staying home all today and perfecting the messy bun. So strong. So brave.
I imagine having a mom that posted everything on social media is not only unsafe for the kids, but will fook them up mentally in the long run, since kids impersonate EVERYTHING they see from their parents (oh look at me!! me, me, me!!!). Not to mention the loons on the internet who see all these public pictures of your family.

It's not even really in the long run... my sister-in-law is a social media mom if I've ever seen on...posts every damn meal the kids eat, every funny face they make along with a new environmental post every 30 mins..her kids run wild...will go through my parents house when they stay pulling shite out of cabinets, climbing on furniture.... and she is generally oblivious because she's posting.
It's not that you have to have a shite kid to be a blogger mom, being a blogger mom creates shite kids

Do they get paid for this crap?

I think it depends on how many followers they have. Supposedly instragram bloggers are paid to advertise based on how many followers they have.
Here’s How Fashion Bloggers Make Money on Instagram (lol)

Though Bernstein declined to tell Harper’s her exact income, she did say that in 2014 she earned in the “mid-six figures” from her Instagram posts. She told the magazine, “Let’s just say it’s more than I could have ever imagined as a 22-year-old.”
I know this example pertains to hot girls, but I imagine it applies for mom bloggers who have hundreds of thousands of followers.

This is a month long bump but just found out a relative of mine blogs. Jesus Christ this is a disease.
"Mommy why do we have to eat this...?"
Listen frickstick blogging morons...those of us who are parents get it. It isnt rocket science. Write real journalism and stop preaching to the choir.
And after research, you wouldn't believe the amount of people I know who are bloggers (and I didnt know they were until this post).
Every parent has a kid who cries or wont eat this or wont do that. Wtf are these people doing?
Since this thread started, my wife and I have counted double-digit people we know who blog. Said relative and 1 co-worker blog for the same site in Texas.

Shucks. My job didn't make it. But there's a certain quiet dignity in being an Apprentice Slaughterhouse Mechanic (Shift 3), and we're not in it for the recognition anyway.
