It's the one thing I feel like is missing.

Few things make me angrier than people with kids telling me how lucky I am to not have kids.

They may say no, but when you get older its natural to want to turn your focus from yourself to your children. Everything I do revolves around making sure my son doesn't have to struggle in life. I also want to make sure that little fricker is successful so he can take care of my old arse when the time comes

I'm not middle aged. But, cannot wait to have a few little Baws.

Wife keeps telling me that with my luck they'll be all into Artsy type shite.

Naw. I love my nieces and nephews but I’m good. I enjoy my lifestyle too much to disrupt it at 42 years old.

I do sometimes wonder if I’ll regret it as I get older and potentially lack a great support system as my family is spread all over the country.

I’ll just have to bribe my nieces and nephews with a place in my will. I’m not rich but there should be a little something there for them. Lol

I understand the sentiment, but struggle is good for all of us.

Let me tell you, there is nothing that will steal your heart like your baby wrapping her tiny hand around your finger for the first time. It’s indescribable. Those arms thrown around the neck. The “daddy I love you”s

You can’t buy that kind of feeling. There’s no high in the world like it.

And once you’ve experienced it you realize you’d trade all the riches just to hang on to those moments for a little longer once they are gone.

I am 31 now, so I'll probably raise a child later. I have always felt that good parenting is providing opportunities and lessons - and I think it could be cool to teach a young person things when I am older.

My wife always tells me that as much as I talk about hot slutty women, with my luck our daughter is going to be gorgeous and my strict rules are gonna give her daddy problems. I should probably lighten up a bit

ALL of this is 1,000,000% true.

why are you responding? he asked for the childless to respond, which you clearly aren't.

I am childless. I have, on occasion, missed having the help. But otherwise, I have remained content and can say with absolute certainty, that I have never once regretted my decision to not have kids.

We never made a conscious effort not to have children, but after much time and many life changing events, we looked up and said at that age, we didn't want to start raising a family. Of course, now that I look back, it's one of many personal decisions that I question. However, as you said, I look at the current state of affairs and I'm somewhat satisfied that my potential children won't have to deal with this mess.

Yes, I wish it would have worked out for me to have at least one. By the time I met my second (and last) wife, we were in our early 40s. Although she could still have kids, she had a really tough and scary pregnancy with her first (and only) child, so we weren't going to risk it. I did get to help raise her little boy. He was 8 when we met, so I got to teach him to play ball, coached his little league baseball team, etc. He is 19 now and in the military.
