Our office adopted a few families for Christmas. As I was looking over the list, one of the options was for a “family” with a 1,2,3,4 and 6 year old. I just couldn’t do it. I picked the family with 2 kids thinking just maybe they just hit a patch of bad luck or medical situation. Probably makes me a bad persont, but I just couldn’t drop off a bag of gifts to someone that’s actively creating their misfortune.
I sorta feel bad about that thought process.
