Not a "long time" by many standards but it's extremely niche and does well at lunch. 2.5 years. 3/2015.

That's what I was getting at. I think Crispy will reach 5 years, which is pretty remarkable and should get in the black by then.

Houston's is still around and owned by Hillstone Restaurant Group. If you're going to use evolution of format, business turnover and corporate changes as evidence for your argument, then you may as well say that no brand has been around for a while. Even McDonald's has gone through ownership changes and corporate restructuring.

I'm trying to figure out your angle. For frick's sake, Starbucks was "trendy" once. I still see people on the OT coping the "baw" routine that they wouldn't pay that much for what is just a cup of coffee, and yet the damn chain is international in scope.

Good one. Popcorn Bistro... still open in Covington as far as I know.

Know the couple that started this. It began in Auburn. The husband has since passed away. This was a good family who had hit hard times and started selling the stuff out of their kitchen just to try to make ends meet. A bitch who owned a catering service turned them in for operating a commercial kitchen. Friends rallied, helped them open a small restaurant on Opelika Road.
Obviously, it worked out. Now, they franchise them.
The stuff is tasty.

You're being argumentative and dismissive of examples. Therefore, I was trying to determine what standards you were using. Being precise and supporting an argument is not an express feminine trait. It's needed to be successful in business and in life. It's obvious you're not all too familiar with the industry, which is fine, but don't act so dismissive of those who may be.
