A Black Lives Matter activist from Chicago argued during a heated Kelly File discussion that American police forces should be abolished. "Here are the solutions. We need to abolish the police, period. Demilitarize the police, disarm the police, and we need to come up with community solutions for transformative justice," said Jessica Disu, drawing some shocked reactions.

So do they want us to just start lynching people again every time Jerome kills John?

What kills me is the BLM "leadership" speaking out are typically educated people that in no way represent the thuggin it and Lovin it crowd they seek to empower.

I don't speak for bikers and WV white trash just because I am white, abolishing police in the hood is throwing all of the peaceful poor people to the lions. What does she think community outreach and no law enforcement to back it up would look like? Gangs would take over if they haven't already

Anarchy? This would not go well for women. Makes this argument by her all the more curious.

She would be raped, turned out and then killed within a month in that atmosphere. This argument of no police is hilarious.

I'm not saying that it's the right thing to have happen right now, but it disturbs me that people dismiss this concept so readily.

Why is it that so many Americans can't comprehend the possibility of a society in which there are no armed agents of the state whom we are required to obey? Why is absolute Liberty so foreign a concept?

Because this isn't a movie with a utopia. There are always going to be really shitty people that need a physical and visual deterrent.

Think about what would've happened in BR last weekend without police.

Because this isn't fricking Star Trek. Not everybody exist for the joy of self improvement. In the society we live in right now what would you do if one of the many unsavory characters that live among us tried to do you or your family harm without law enforcement present.

I say, go for it. Give her what she wants. Let Chicago have The Purge. 24 hours no police. See how fast she changes her mind.

I would defend myself like I do everyday. The police are only necessary because our society has made them necessary. Our lawmakers said we need a police force. Remember that this country gained independce in 1776 and a police force was not formed until the 1830s. If someone breaks into my house im not calling the police because nothing will be done, and they may arrest me for the gram of pot in my bedroom. Today I only call on a police officer if some idiot working the liquor counter says that my legitimate identification is not mine. The police will at least properly identify me.

I carry also, and I my first response would never be to call police.

I don't want thugs burning and looting an entire city, though.

Because there would be armed agents of some kind, just not the state. There would always be people looking to take advantage of the situation, and others looking to topple those people.

His group has inspired multiple terrorist attacks across the country. He should shut the frick up for a while if he cared at all about his country.
