That’s not the blazer.

That’s a sporty minivan. Disgusting.

Didn’t the blazer go from being built on the Silverado frame to being built on the S10 frame?

I’m guessing every single person who was excited about this was hoping for the removable top version that was on the full size frame.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Don't even think of selling me a bronco or blazer without a removable hard top.

Just another dressed up crossover.

The allure of American made automotive machinery has died along with our self respect as a society.

Yeah it was like this for me:
Hearing a Blazer was coming back, level 10
Seeing the new Blazer, level .5

90% of the people complaining about the new Blazer wouldn’t have bought a retro version anyway. Including the author of that article. At least now Chevy makes some money off the name.

That picture brings back some memories! I used to have an '83 that was very similar but the top was black, there was tan on the bottom below the molding, and my tires were just all terrain 33's on stock wheels. Absolutely loved that thing.

Here’s another way to look at it fam: For the cost of one of these you could buy a real K5 and make it into a great ride, even a daily. LS swap, etc.

Not impressed, at all. The Blazer name should have been held at a higher standard. With the politically correct culture, I guess they are running out of naming options.

Kind of like what Land Rover did with the new Discovery. There are certain angles where it looks decent, but they had so much more potential.

I guess the average buyer likes that generic round look better.

Discovery:

LR3/LR4 (assuming this is the U.K. version since it still says Discovery):
