Who here owns one and what is your opinion of it?

I have my Silverado in for some servicing and the dealer gave a loaner for the day. It is a Colorado LT with the V6. I was shocked at the power and ride this thing has. I am no where near ready for a new one but I might consider this when it is time.

Buy yourself a Prius Hybrid Go Cart and call it a day.

If you go mid-size it's hard to argue with this. I had a Tacoma for almost 10 yrs and it was bulletproof. Have a Sierra now and love it

I have one but with the diesel, love it. I travel a lot for work so I needed something that had good mileage but still tow my small tractor and side by side.

Let the haters fade. It's a good truck. Love them. The new models are bigger, have good interiors, and have pretty good power for work and general hauling. Surprisingly good power in the V6.

Not to mention, they look great. Let my old man drive my canyon and he let me drive his Silverado (we got new trucks the same weekend), and he was really impressed. Even bigger guys can fit in it comfortably, and the ride is smooth.

They used to be tough as hell, apparently the new ones are having issues. I have ridden in several and the tocoma cannot touch the features and ride of this colorado. I think the issue with these new colorado's will be how they perform long term 4 - 5 years down the line. Time will tell.

That is what surprised me the most. It has as much pep as my Silverado with the 5.3 and my truck is in top notch shape with only 84,000 miles. So its not like it is wore out.

In the market for a new vehicle myself and was looking at the Colorado the other day. How are they with durability, anyone know? I'm moving to Vermont in a matter of weeks and that's a 25 hour drive, I'd like to have a dependable truck on top of one that'll make the ride as comfortable as possible.

It may be small....but at least it's not a Ford.

I have a GMC Canyon fully loaded and it is awesome.

I am 6'3" and 235 and I have plenty of room.

304hp, plenty of power and the ride is great.

Went with the GMC model because it has a better suspension and I like the grill better.

my grandfather has one of the last generation models with 5 cylinder. thing is a tank. if you're talking about a new vehicle, i imagine anything you would buy will get you to vermont.

What's your real world mileage, filter cleaner cost, and when you punch the gas pedal, how much lag do you get?

I test drove the Ram 1500 with the diesel, and there really wasn't much lag compared to the gas version or older heavy duty trucks. I wound up buying during the time of the EPA lawsuit against Dodge, so I went with an F150 in the end. Local dealer didn't have many Colorados in stock, but my brother bought one a few months after. I hate to blaspheme here, but I think I prefer his to the Tacomas I test drove, too.

Drove a 2009 for 8 years and 220k Miles. Zero issues other than the common Passlock issue which was resolved with a $100 mail order tune.

I seriously considered a Diesel 2nd gen when I was in the process of replacing it.
