At what point as a society did we just accept this level of lawlessness?
All of these animals have priors. Most are out awaiting trial for serious crimes.
The left says the US has a prison problem. They are correct. We don't have enough of them. If you are convicted of a violent offense, you should be removed from free society for the rest of your life. No exceptions. Apply to anyone 13 years old and above. We don't have to live like this.

Judges should be held accountable for the actions the people they release commit. It happens to a bartender, why not some a-hole in a black robe.
If the judge really thinks the person is no threat then he should feel comfortable in the release, but if there is a chance the person my commit further crimes then they need to be held in jail. I would love a law that gave the judge the same prison time as the person he releases, who goes out an commits further crimes.
It is way past time to shut down the revolving door on jails

They want prisons to be comfy like they are in some European countries.
That doesn’t work when a large segment of the population is chronically in prison for violent crime.

Teacher from the arrest for assaulting a teacher (and video of the incident).
So from 18-21 years old he had this incident, gun charges and then gun/drug charges…. Plus whatever juvenile offenses…. Of course culminating with this.
And his family knew he was off his meds and talking about death was coming for him and didn’t report anything….

Did NOPD need to assign a guy to follow this dude daily? They nabbed him 3 times on serious charges since he became 18 (now 22)and I’m sure more before.
Crimes are mostly performed by an extremely small percentage of the population. A few hundred people, perhaps as many as 1000, are terrorizing the city of New Orleans. The hardest part should be identifying these people. However, the NOPD knows exactly who they are and arrests them regularly. They could probably provide a list of 80 percent of these serial criminals with an hour's notice.
But they don't do anything about it. The police, combined with shitty judges and DAs are the real criminals. They empower the crime.

If the only thing keeping you from becoming a murderous psycho is voluntarily self-medicating, then you should not be on the streets walking as a free person.
