Iodine in medical procedures and wound care.

Wasn't used as antiseptic until almost 1900 I believe. Post Civil War.

An Apache helicopter...

An Apache helicopter has machine guns AND missiles. It is an unbelievably impressive complement of weaponry, an absolute death machine."

Did they have supersonic ammo back then? Subsonic won’t do any good with tannerite.

A $30 pair of walkie talkies (with batteries) would have changed the outcome of the Civil War.

A suppressed AR-15 and a cheap pair of nvgs could’ve done the same.

Yes . Provide a pair to Lee and one of his generals at Gettysburg for instance.

Or a pair at Chancellorsville, "This is Gen Jackson. My scouting party and I are returning to our lines. Don't shoot."

A map would have prevented Archduke Ferdinand's driver from getting lost and allowing his assassin to kill him. Neither of the world wars happen because of this. Think what the Soviet Union is able to accomplish if 27 millions citizens don't die?
Germany too, lost around six million soldiers and at least 2 million civilians.

Germans (& vassals) killed and destroyed way more than they were killed or destructed.

Plus, all of the physical destruction (especially of WWII) and misuse of energy/R&D/resources to build the military.

Tragic.

The South still loses. The North had the manufacturing, economic, railway, and population advantage. There was simply no way the South wins the Civil War

It’s a movie quote, considered saying ‘a child’s wish’ as a setup but you can’t win them all.

This premise was covered in ‘the final countdown’ and they got to bring an entire aircraft carrier!
