If it came from as far away as the initial reports suggest, there’s a good chance whoever did it is in the wind, at least for the time being
it was from far away no doubt listening to the video.

1000% agree. It’s sad that some people just DO NOT CARE.

FFS. After all this time, I still can't understand how people think the internet is a direct representation of real life. I've walked around every day as a conservative in a city full of leftists for 20 years. I should be dead.

He was more powerful than the RNC this past election.

MAGA has shades of that, and some of the extremes that go so far as to sanctify Trump make exhibit the same characteristics that the leftist do for glorifying the state from 2016-2020 and now.

They aren't remotely comparable. And trying to make this argument on a day like this is just insane.

It was, but it was also effective.

True, but he was pretty good at helping the younger generation understand and defend conservative beliefs most of whom had grown up in an environment telling them that was shameful and evil.

He was a legitimate threat to the left who thought they had the youth vote sewed up for at least a couple generations.

Social Media.

We've always been divided. Our parents grew up watching the Kennedy's, Reagan, MLK, etc get shot at. All the way back to our founding fathers we've been trying to kill political figures. Hell the whole world has always.

It's just now with Social Media its driven the division, gave everyone a microphone to voice their thoughts, and drummed up emotions.

The left demands submission. Until we submit there will always be division.

Submission wouldn't help. The modern left craves an nemesis. An enemy or foe isn't good enough. Mild disagreements on policy are not good enough. They NEED a true nemesis that they can spend all their energies trying to destroy because in their mind it is self preservation.

If they don't have a nemesis, they will create one out of an ally.

Don't think like this. It was a radicalized person that shot him, no normal person does that. radicalized right or left is not where we need to be as a country. We need to find common ground, and there is more of it than people think. We are just being fed by the media radical messages.

I guess if you don’t believe in open borders and trannies you’re now a far right bigot

Yep. They are gonna learn real quick that killing a moderate like Kirk is gonna lead to someone far more “right wing” gaining prominence

Blue Sky is dominated by those types. Even Cuban had to talk about how intolerant it is against opposing viewpoints.

Kirk was never hateful and always willing to engage the other side. That was his entire schtick.

He was always so calm with the students and treated them with dignity, even when they were being rude, condescending, irate, etc. to him. He offered to pray with them and talk to them about God, if they ever wanted, as well.

I'm not sure I've every been as sick over the loss of a "political figure" or really anyone famous at all.

Those people are the future. It makes sense to go talk to them.

I understand targeting Trump or Elon or other powerful people, but Charlie was just...a guy with a microphone under a tent.

There’s nothing better about doing that. It’s still unacceptable and despicable.

Also, Charlie was very well known and very popular. He wasn’t just some random dude.

Couldn’t get anything done at work after the news came out. The picture of him and his wife with their two young children is just soul crushing. If they’re willing to assassinate a guy like Charlie who was willing to hear them out in open debate, what’s next?

Feels like a big fricking line was crossed.

This country has been on the decline for a while now. We can’t civilly disagree with one another without becoming enraged. The fact that people are happy about this is very concerning. I don’t give a damn how you vote or what you believe, shooting some guy because you disagree with him is completely wrong and unjustifiable. Sad what we have let ourselves become
