I doubt it. He told people people Kirk spread hate. That sounds like someone that got brainwashed by the far left

Shrug. It’s all messy.
Honestly, it feels like if this was a slam dunk leftist then we would have more besides the engravings on the casings.
You’d think the Trump admin would be beating the doors down to frame this.
If this does end up being what it seems (a deranged leftist), the Trump admin deserves credit for not constantly plugging that.

Agreed
I do think there is some horseshoe theory in the very online subcultures
But the phrasing of the probable cause statement would be odd (the family member interview) if he disliked Kirk from a Fuentes perspective.

I think you need to take a break from the internet, TD, and social media for a bit.
You've provided tons of links and social media to this thread, but it is very obvious that you need to take a step back.
Take the weekend and enjoy your family and friends. Cherish what you do have, because multiple families lost the most important thing in their lives this week.
Reset and come back next week

I refuse to watch any video with a cover image like that especially about current events
which eliminates like 9/10ths of YouTube

I didn’t watch it.
Did the parents specifically say he was turning left or that “they were concerned about his politics” or whatever?
You can be concerned about politics in either direction.

I’m more familiar with that world than I’d like to admit (thanks ig reels) and it’s not hard to make a connection based on what I’ve seen on twitter
He’s also a smart kid and could be strategically throwing shite out to confused everyone. The bullet messages can be construed in several ways

It's from the written statement where it discusses the police interview with his family member (dad?):
- He'd "become more political in recent years"
- Brought up Kirk's coming to UVU
- Said he didn't like Kirk
- Said Kirk was "full of hate" and "spreading hate"

There actually are theories out there that he did follow Fuentes.
I don't agree with Sam Harris, but I follow him and watch his videos from time to time.
It's kind of sad we just assume following someone on social media means you agree with them. I'm not perfect, and my understanding of the world isn't perfect, so why would I put myself in an echo chamber?

Yeah that doesn’t sound like a Fuentes thing, then.
Definitely sounds lefty.

Fuentes made a name for himself basically attacking Kirk for not being racist/hateful enough, so yeah… doesn’t really add up

Yep. That kills that theory.

I see some of my people online extracting from the probable cause statement that he had help. The statement seems (to me) to imply he was talking to his roommate about stuff very pertinent to the shooting.
I read something about the gun purchase process being illegal as it was hidden in a bush at a pick up point for the shooter (something else but can’t remember right now). Maybe if just illegal process or someone in the know getting him a rifle is something I that they are trying to figure out, but I think the roommate told police that is how he got the rifle.

Asked obvious questions about this statement earlier; didn't go well.

I remember being raised to always respect the president, irrespective of who held the office. My parents explicitly told me if Clinton showed up, they’d still show him respect because he is the commander in chief for the United States. Somehow, somewhere that mentality was lost. If we split, all that would do is create a separate set of problems. Mental health needs to be addressed in this country and a better handle on “bot farms” spreading bullshite, IMO. Those two things would go a long way.
Couldn’t agree more.
For the record, a split is not only NOT realistic (borderline impossible) but isn’t fiscally feasible either.

That tweet seems like it misinterpreted the governor's words. We dont know how he got the gun. But the governor is talking about where he stashed the weapon after the shooting, not how be got the weapon to begin with....unless im the retarded one

Yeah, I read through that several times and it still strikes me as cryptic. I really can't tell if it's between him and the roommate about coordination, or him telling the roommate about the rifle in relation to the shooting, or him telling the roommate about acquiring the rifle in the first instance, etc.
That part of the narrative begins with the roommate telling investigators about a joke on discord and then goes right into this part (the rifle messages, etc.) - so it's just really hard to make a cohesive whole out of it. You'd have to read the transcript to see what I mean.
