But the phrasing of the probable cause statement would be odd (the family member interview) if he disliked Kirk from a Fuentes perspective.

I think you need to take a break from the internet, TD, and social media for a bit.

You've provided tons of links and social media to this thread, but it is very obvious that you need to take a step back.

Take the weekend and enjoy your family and friends. Cherish what you do have, because multiple families lost the most important thing in their lives this week.

Did the parents specifically say he was turning left or that “they were concerned about his politics” or whatever?

You can be concerned about politics in either direction.

It's from the written statement where it discusses the police interview with his family member (dad?):

- He'd "become more political in recent years"
- Brought up Kirk's coming to UVU
- Said he didn't like Kirk
- Said Kirk was "full of hate" and "spreading hate"

It's kind of sad we just assume following someone on social media means you agree with them. I'm not perfect, and my understanding of the world isn't perfect, so why would I put myself in an echo chamber?

Fuentes made a name for himself basically attacking Kirk for not being racist/hateful enough, so yeah… doesn’t really add up

I read something about the gun purchase process being illegal as it was hidden in a bush at a pick up point for the shooter (something else but can’t remember right now). Maybe if just illegal process or someone in the know getting him a rifle is something I that they are trying to figure out, but I think the roommate told police that is how he got the rifle.

For the record, a split is not only NOT realistic (borderline impossible) but isn’t fiscally feasible either.

Yeah, I read through that several times and it still strikes me as cryptic. I really can't tell if it's between him and the roommate about coordination, or him telling the roommate about the rifle in relation to the shooting, or him telling the roommate about acquiring the rifle in the first instance, etc.

That part of the narrative begins with the roommate telling investigators about a joke on discord and then goes right into this part (the rifle messages, etc.) - so it's just really hard to make a cohesive whole out of it. You'd have to read the transcript to see what I mean.
