Jesus Christ, dude. It’s not that bad. It’s busy like every other waterway on a holiday weekend, but it’s not Jupiter Inlet in an approaching storm. I get wanting to avoid a crowd, but you sound like someone who makes boating miserable if there’s another vessel within 100 miles of you. Get over it.

My brother in law has a camp there if I take the kids out to ski I feel it is safer on Old River.
At night and early mornings it is not bad on holiday weekends if you want to fish.
During the day just too many boaters and jet skiers in a small space during the holidays to pull kids on a tube safely.

What will they base that charge on? As I read the article, not type of BAC test was performed nor a field sobriety test. The guy was not even observed by the officers as he had left the scene before they got there.

I think we have enough people to raise the money so you don't have to come out of pocket. Also, Saturday works best for me. I'll be glad to be a driver if needed.

Look, he was driving a vessel that injured a minor so seriously that he needed to be airlifted to a trauma center.
It is 100% hit and run if he did not stay around to provide a statement to authorities. As a captain of a vessel on LA waterways, if there is an injury incident, he is responsible to provide information to authorities. As an Assistant DA, he can not claim "I didn't know better."

and how to advise them of how to not get one in the first place, which in his case was flee the scene, if it's his first offense I can guarantee the felony will go away, and the absolute worst he'll get is probation, and that's worse case scenario
