Done it numerous times.
The one I don't like is the Sunshine Bridge.
You need to pick your times and it isn't that bad but any serious cyclist is used to riding in and around traffic.
Most of the country has laws against riding on the interstate but especially in the west it is allowed on some stretches of interstate where there are no viable alternatives.
The basin bridge, if legal, would be a cake walk for a cyclist, with the wide shoulders but would be a puncture nightmare with all the debris.

Nah, brah. It's illegal for any pedestrian or cyclist to enter a controlled access highway.
If it's got on-ramps, you'd better be in a properly licensed and registered motor vehicle before you enter it.

I used to ride between Baton Rouge and New Orleans sometimes, but never on I-10.

I was going to run his dumb arse off the road but decided at the last minute that I didn't want to scratch my truck so I goy back in the lane. I was able to hit him with an apple juice bottle.
