Damn dude is in his Lance Armstrong getup biking down the shoulder of the bridge heading east. The hell has gotten into people?

Probably riding to raise awareness for some cause. White people LOVE awareness.

I was thinking that too. But don't these guys/gals take alternate routes staying off interstates. You(normal people) can't ride bikes along the Interstate Highways.

I worked DOTD for a long time. We used to have people who wanted to raise awareness of some sort via bicycle call us all the time wondering about routes. They were always warned that crossing any major river via interstate or US highway would be dangerous as all hell. They'd do it anyway. Bike people are nuts.

What department? I worked a summer there in Construction Audit. My dad was in weights&measures for 40+ yrs.

Can you imagine that 190 no shoulder spillway bridge and the one over the Atchafalya at Krotz Springs on a bike?

I guess they probably have a legal right to be there, but how about being a decent human being and not inconveniencing the hell outa someone else because you want to ride your bike a certain place.

mikelbr I was a PIO under the secretary's office for 10 years. I started out in truck permits under weights and measures. Did that for about 8 months.

Actually, I think there might be laws against that on Interstates.

Doesn't everyone? You prob know my dad. I have pics of me like 7 yrs old in front of that building early 80s.

I Googlied it. Seems some states have gotten that changed for certain areas/sections. Bug generally yes, bikes ain't allowed on Interstates.
