I agree with that for the most part. Waterproof is sub F though. That place is dead as fried chicken. But the gas station has pretty good plate lunches.

How are you coming up with a B for Pineville?
Overtly religious to the point it holds the town back. Have only been able to sell alcohol for the past 6 years. 28E and Monroe Highways are death traps. Wrecks all the time. PHS is an okay high school. There isn't much to eat.
There isn't terribly much crime, but at the same time there isn't much period.
Why is it a B?

Because it’s being graded against places like Feriday and Jena

I pretty much considered towns west of the Ouachita River as East Texas or South Arkansas and the flat lands east of the Ouachita as West Mississippi.

I hate curves.
I shite on Louisiana a lot (justified IMO), but Pineville is an okay town. It's not a B, more like a C-.

growing up, pineville was a punchline. "If you keep acting up, we're going to send you to the funny farm"
kinda like carville. those places growing up were only known for one thing...

I did a two-year hitch at LC, but I wasn't their kind of guy. I was probably the only guy on campus walking around in a motorcycle jacket.

- found & copied a pass-key that opened EVERY SINGLE BUILDING ON CAMPUS
- found & copied a pass-key that opened EVERY SINGLE DORM ROOM ON CAMPUS
2 keys; access to the entire college
we used to go under the bridge that connected alexandria and stick our hands up through the compression joints when cars were passing over
surprised we didnt get arrested or cause any major car accidents.
there are many more stories i wont be sharing

There are towns like this all over the country (and maybe the world) where if
you have any semblance of improving yourself and your lot in life you have
to escape.

Not sure why you're cracking so hard on Jena or more so why in the hell you would lump it with Ferriday which is an absolute crap hole. If someone wants to live in a small town it is an ideal place to live imo. It has good people and is a great place to raise a family. There are 2-3 really good local burger joints and a couple of really good cafes, low crime, it's clean, public schools are good compared to other small towns it's size.
There aren't a lot of jobs there, but lots of folks commute to Alexandria/Pineville or Monroe to work.
OP graded it as a C, but i'd rank it as a B.

You didn't mention Benton. I'd give it a B mainly because you have to go into Bossier for anything you need.
