Cell Phone Etiquette in the Workplace

Am I alone on this? It is starting to drive me crazy.
All day long, this guy's cell phone goes off in the office next to me for personal calls and text messages. He is always having personal phone conversations during the day and always puts it on speakerphone. His ringtones are the loud and obnoxious ones too.
The other day in a meeting, his phone went off and he ignored the call. It went off again and he ignored it. It went off 3 more times before he finally silenced it.
I wanna say something but I take direction from the guy, so I don't really have the authority to say anything.

Post his number here so we can REALLY piss him off

Say something to him instead of coming to the OT. Might fix your problem quicker.
"Hey buddy, mind putting that on silent? It's distracting."

Be honest, he’s in the cubicle next to you

No, no. Don’t report him to HR. I like the idea of posting his number.

Have loud sex in your office to get back at him

My cell phone hasn't made a sound in 5 years.

Walk into their office, take the phone, and throw it as hard as you can against the wall. Then, take a massive shite on their desk. You'll get fired, but you'll also get your point across.

So you're jealous of his social life?

Be compassionate. His S/O is crazy.

I know you're joking but going to his office and slamming the door shut would be a pretty good message to him. That, or spray a fire extinguisher in his office.

Seriously! Do this. I had a similar issue until I remembered that where I work, no matter which phone ext you call from, it shows up as the main line number. I started calling his phone every time his message notification went off. After about 2 days, he apparently figured out something and cut his sound off.

My CEO does talk to text. Middle of a conversation with a few people and he will talk to text a message. It’s the most annoying thing.

Personal calls would agitate me, but I don't really care because I can put my headset on. What I do actually get annoyed with is people who have non-professional ringtones. I don't want to hear "Uh me so horny' 20 times a day.

I'm not joking. It is what you should do.
