hard to say, wasn’t trying to be a smartass, I jumped in the water while fishing in the Bahamas to help a diver off our boat who we thought was being attacked by a shark, his two lifelong best buddies just sort of froze, I couldn’t just stand there and do nothing, fortunately it wasn’t a shark

God damn that's such a memorable movie... I can hear that line as if it's playing on TV.

Two women were killed a few days apart by sharks in that same area in 2022.

really kind of felt dumb after I jumped in, as I mentioned, I wasn’t going to stand there and do nothing, just glad it wasn’t a shark

He put up a fight at the beginning. Didn’t have much left after that. Seeing his legs twirl around in the air like that is surreal.

I go in the water at the beach, but everyone who does needs to know there are things out in the ocean that see you as a meal. I have read that sharks don't really like the taste of human flesh and chances are they will eventually spit out the great big bite they take out of you. Evidently that shark had an atypical taste for Russian swimmers. Hard to predict what an Egyptian shark will do though. Evidently, they can be very unpredictable.

Still may have died from massive blood loss though, but better than what ultimately happened.

Guaranteed. Horrible attack.

We don’t even see the first attack. Guy was fricked, shark came back like 3 or 4 times. When the video starts he has already been attacked as no one is around.

Extremely rare for a shark to come back a second time not to mention a 3rd or more.

But I’d almost guarantee that the first bite was probably lethal, he just had not bled out yet.

I still remember 20 years ago when the kid from Mississippi got attacked down here. My old buddy was the ranger that killed the shark and retrieved the boys arm from it's mouth. He had some pretty bad PTSD from it.

So much for the notion that sharks only attack when they mistake us for a seal and it’s only one bite because they don’t like how we taste.

This was definitely a predatory attack. Tiger sharks are known to eat anything.

Looks like a chunk of one of his legs is missing when he gets flipped upside down

I hear you, but in the situation in the video posted in Egypt, there’s a 0% chance anyone would swim up to a giant Tiger shark in a full blown frenzy.

And I mean, nothing one could do anyway except get killed as well.
