Ive never been about the whole giving up. I just try to do something more. Not sure what that is yet.

Cheese and carbonated drinks. Only tea, sugar free grape drink, and water. Was going to give up shaving too but I don't think I could not shave for that long.

No sodas or cursing.

The first two are absolutes, I never break my Lent promises. The last I have to pray or give up something else any day I curse.

I'm not Catholic but fail to see why a Christian holiday like the Lenten season can't be shared by all denominations. In Louisiana, we are all a little Catholic. I've been doing moderation during Lent for 30 years.
