So the opinion of the world is what matters? Or is it the teachings of the Bible? Hint: it’s a catholic school.

I’m pretty sure Jesus wouldn’t approve of what he did. And I’m pretty sure Jesus would not approve of what the school did.

I mean, if you want to cast more blame on the school, Catholicism or just Christianity in general you can spin it however you want. Bottom line is, when you get a wink-wink from an employer, law enforcement, etc. for something you're violating and you've agreed to a punishment for that violation at the discretion of your employer, law enforcement, etc. the responsibility and blame resides with you.

Same reason I had little sympathy for Pete Rose.

When people agree to something that benefits them knowing they're violating policies or laws, it's hard for me put the blame on others when shite goes wrong.

He would say let him who is without sin cast the first stone.

They could not condemn you and I do not either.

What Jesus did not says, is I accept you and all your sin, now go and live you life as you see fit and I'll accept you no matter what.

People who love their sin conveniently over look this.

Some context would help here, but I wouldn’t expect the media to do any actual research.

The school has been aware Mark Richard’s is gay. Because he’s well liked, administration including the priest has turned a blind eye.

A disgruntled parent was upset with the principal and went to the archdiocese to out Mark Richard’s in hopes it would result in the firing of the principal. Instead, the archdiocese made the call to fire the band director for violating the morality clause.

Unfortunately, the school takes the brunt of the blame for a situation they had no real control over. The archdiocese made the call. I was sympathetic towards mark richards until he decided to go to every media outlet in the city and drag the school through the mud knowing it wasn’t the schools decision.

Apparently, a parent complained. Either a donor or the parent threatened to wreck sh**.

The disgruntled parent sounds like a piece of shite Karen.

Thank god the bishop made the tough but correct decision in this case. The priest should be reassigned for failing to do what he was ordained to do.

WWJD? He wouldn’t hire an openly proud gay man. Have you ever read the Bible? Let me guess, judge not

Frick that. If he was good at his job and didn't make his whole personality about being gay while teaching why the frick worry about it?

There's a good chance the priest at the school is gay as well. Most of them are.

Why would Jesus not approve of what the school did?

After taking it in the poop chute for the last 40-50 years, I am sure his butt does still hurt.

Because he was living a life contrary to the teachings of his employer? That's not a good look when you are trying to give your students a Catholic education.

At a minimum, Peter was married. Possibly more.

Every single one of them was told to repent, you really are a genius aren’t you? I love when people claim to know the Bible but just a few passing cliches

i’m sure you can find quotes in the Bible saying that homosexuality is a sin and they might even be damned. But there are also an equal or greater number of quotes that would suggest Jesus wouldn’t fire him. Let me guess. Judge.

The school has every opportunity to clear that up and set the record straight.
