It's hypocritical to protect them and fire the teacher
is it? Was there ever any physical proof that a priest molested or raped a child - or is most of it word of mouth (I actually have some knowledge of certain cases where there is physical evidence and believe it or not, that priest was fired) - whereas a contract is something physical and a marriage license or a lease for an apartment is physical proof that the contract has been broken and will hold up in court

Oppression has been around since time began as well. Coincidence?
power is more of a cause for oppression than religion - many people have been oppressed because of their religion, not necessarily by it

we are, and if there is one true God, then that is something we are supposed to know, and He exists regardless of what you think

you don’t believe anything, so what does it matter what you believe - you have no idea what I do

But the fact remains, the Catholic Church is in a major decline.
is this some sort of gotcha? All churches are in decline because people are lazy.

Your solution is backwards.

What solution, using priests' entrails as nooses? It was a joke. (But it sure raised a lot of hackles. )

I pointed out the hypocrisy. I believe it's this kind of hypocrisy that is driving people away from the church.

I think that’s absurd. It’s not the hypocrisy. Allowing more homosexual leaders into the church isn’t the answer.

Cracking down on homosexuality is the answer.

They got it right this time. 100%.

Until we have Christians in mass trying to outlaw adulterers or demonize people who have sex out of wedlock then maybe you can claim that.

Being gay is only Ok in the Catholic church if you are a priest and raping little boys . (One of my best friends is a priest and when he was in seminary and before he took his vows we had many discussions about all the gay weirdos in the seminary) The future molestors were not hard to spot.

He is a great guy and priest but he made his choice as a adult after years of thought and reflection.

The Catholic Church didn't invent hypocrisy and sexual assault but they definitely perfected it.

A frick all you Louisiana Catholics that allowed all those little boys to be sexually abused over and over again and then covered it up. You will surely rot in hell if there is a just God.

My opinion on this matter differs from yours. I do believe that Reason and Faith make excellent partners. IMHO, St. Thomas Aquinas proved that.

I think that Martin Luther would agree with you on this matter.

The Catholic church has a history of protecting some of the most immoral people in history.

guess the Muslims got one thing right, yea?

They openly molest boys and say it’s not gay until they get married. Big issue in their world.

PS Grok says that the Protestants are worse than the Catholics, when it comes to this child molestation issue. Here's the link Thread is about to go off the rails now. Don't dare speak ill of the fake Christians.

Probably true when you boil down the total numbers. Billion plus Catholics.

Then we have all the branch off religions no one pays attention to, they are all worried about what the Vatican is doing 24/7. Envy.

Earlier in this thread it was mentioned that the school was being....."ripped to shreds" on Google, public outcry by readers/comments/posts on Social Media..... making it "appear" as if the vast majority believed that the school and their policies were/are wrong.

This Catholic school, just like ALL others, are bursting full of students with every possible seat, classroom taken! Every Catholic school has a very long "waiting list" of parents/students begging to attend. And despite it not influencing the student's odds @ being accepted, or "moving them up on the waiting list" most parents, grandparents are quite willing, very capable & do offer to pay far far above the already high, regular tuition costs. Some clearly indicate they are prepared, willing to pay whatever/however/any amount for their kid to attend!

And a little unknown fact, that is very telling, is that quite a few students currently attending Catholic schools, or have applied, graduated, etc. are NON Catholics! No Catholic school that I've attended, or their many Hospitals, Catholic Charities, etc; requires anyone to be Catholic or practice Catholicism.

And the above same want/desire goes for any/all Job Positions (there are rarely, if ever, "job openings") at these schools. The most highly qualified, very best Teachers, Coaches, Counselors, Nurses, Bldg & Ground Mtc, etc. all desperately want to work at these private, Faith Based - Catholic School's. It is precisely because of, due to their policies, principles, standards.......and the resulting environment, morals, respect, discipline, safety & overall levels/quality of education found and maintained on these campuses and at these Catholic schools that make them so desirable and difficult to "get in"!

While Social Media, Google may condemn......you can be assured that this particular Catholic school, along with others, will be flooded with even MORE applications!

He's mad because they fired him because he was gay not because he is a reformed homosexual.
