Reported, as in to the admins. Nobody needs to be subjected to inane occurrences set forth as fact (often with misspellings and/or lack of vernacular dominion, which only compounds the insult).

Snowflake confirmed.

There are calls for a Catholic priest in the US to be removed after he told the funeral of a teenage boy that he might be blocked from heaven because he committed suicide.

So, that's where they draw the line?

Pedophiles are ok, but that's frowned upon?

So you would have turned your son's funeral into a fistfight? Can you imagine the media headlines?

For example, " Keyboard warrior punches out pastor at own son's funeral". Wouldn't that be wonderful for the rest of your family during their grieving.

I hope your judgment IRL is better than when you are trying to cultivate a Billy Badass persona. fricking idiot!!!

HA!!! So hostile you are as you call someone out for what you think is a hostile act....oh and BTW....that wasnt my comment you went all Keyboard Warrior on. Ha....smfh

If it cleans the sin then why would there be a purgatory?

If nothing else, your response proves there is a lot of difference between Catholicism and Protestant Christianity. A person either thinks they can get to heaven themselves (or with the help of others), sounds pretty arrogant to me, or they believe they can’t do it themselves and put their trust in the work of Christ. In my option, if there is more than one way to heaven, Jesus suffered a miserable death uncessarily and God made him do it. Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

P.s. The book of Macabees is not in the Protestant bible.

My parish didn’t cover up child rape and we have great priests and great community. Glad you speak for all Catholics though.

It doesnt matter if your particular parish is guilty of these crimes. You are a part of an organization that engages in and covers up child rape.

You do realize that Protestants openly teach that Catholics are evil.

Not quite. “Forgive” is in common use in the Bible. It’s not used here.

That priest was doing his job the right way.

Compassion is telling the truth to help others avoid making the same mistake. Obviously the priest does not want others to do the same thing. Sounds like his sermon was a warning. If the sermon helps prevent someone else from taking their life, then the boys death lead to saving someone else.

People need to know the truth.

bullshite. From the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

We should not despair of the eternal salvation of persons who have taken their own lives. By ways known to him alone, God can provide the opportunity for salutary repentance. the Church prays for persons who have taken their own lives.

And I can only imagine the size and number of skeletons that are probably in that "priest's" closet.

I’m not joking. Every Protestant Church I have ever been to has these little cartoon pamphlets illustrating the “evil” ways of the Catholic Church.

Here it is. These things are all over Protestant churches in north Louisiana.

Sorry, but once I asked the priest to stop and he didn’t, I would have went back and told him he had about 5 seconds to leave, or be carried away.

Same here. Beating the shite out of a "priest" isn't a mortal sin anyway, so I'd be ok in the end. That's not just a bad priest, that's a bad person.

North Louisiana apparently has done nothin to anger God and has not been punished. Can’t say the same for the cat licks down yonder.

ONE
not all Christian Denominations believe in Purgatory thats a Catholic thing

B
you critique NON-Catholic Churches for their view on Catholicism ( a belief you critique in point ONE)

I dont know of a Christian that doesn't acknowledge that come of the dogma gets away from Christs message..

so yes, the RELIGION( Christian and others) is flawed in its practice that does not mean the central message isnt true or valid

Catholics right here in this thread have declared all non-Catholics, heretics, and therefore evil.

The problem isn’t with Catholics, but with religion, and doctrine. Catholics have just carried religion, and doctrine to a whole other level. One that turns much of the Bible on it’s head. One that defends and perpetuates child rape, and homosexuality. One that exchanges money for sins. One that allows sinners to bestow absolution upon other sinners. One that declares sinners, saints. One that hands out honorariums like “Holy” to sinners, like peppermints out of someone’s pocket.
