I went there as a kid in the 80s then took mine at the end of 2019 before Covid. Place was crazy cool as a kid with the indoor cliff divers. I’m glad Trey and Matt are reviving the place. The food was always pretty meh. It looks like that will improve big time.

Isn't Casa Bonita a common restaurant name that pops up among locations having nothing to do with each other? I think I remember one in Little Rock when I was little.

In the 90's this was my account/client. The volume they did was mind blowing. food was mostly shite but people went for the kitsch.

They are each worth $700 million plus with money rolling in from reruns and merchandise for the rest of their lives. It all started with a short stop-motion video they made using construction paper.

The very definition of the American dream.

Yes, and it was like a mini Disneyland in the 80s for a kid. Every kid in Denver had their birthday party there.

A lot of stuff in the earlier years of South Park is real or based on something or someone from their childhood

I never have eaten one. I guess I would try one. After reading the menu again I would eat the roast chicken.

Yes it was. Growing up in Golden our trips to Casa Bonita were treasured memories. Not because the food was worth a shite but the atmosphere couldn’t be beat for a kid.

The waterfall, game room, and oh man those sopapillas were awesome. Bite off a corner, fill it with honey, and enjoy!

So glad it’s coming back.
