See above. If he did not have a gun in his hands when Smith supposedly said "I have a gun too", how do you explain the 7 gun shotS in his back? I'd potentially buy your self-defense/ SYG angle IF Smith was shot in the chest. Smith is zero threat at that moment walking away.

Definitively, no. My suspicions are that Hayes completely lost his shite when he was rear-ended, chased down Smith to kick the shite out of him, recognized Smith was just as big, if not larger than he was, then brandished his gun to scare them off. In his panic, I think he shot Raquel to shut her up, then was forced to kill Smith or be killed himself. I am convinced this was a situation where keeping it real went terribly awry and someone was killed. With this scenario, Hayes had numerous opportunities to flee/ keep his cool/ etc, but did not do so.

No other evidence to date suggests otherwise to me. Fuller's statements are common defense attorney jargon hoping to plant seeds of doubt here. I cannot get over the fact that SmitH was shot 7 times in his back. There is no defense for this as far as I'm concerned. If this turns out not to be the case, I will be the first person to eat crow and admit I was wrong. I still 1,000% believe Orenthal James Simpson killed Nicole and Ron Goldman. The police botched the case, but he killed those two.
