Club Car Wash is supposedly owned by the Kelce brothers. Makes me wonder how many athletes are investing in this and other brands

I keep hearing about how life costs too much these days. Yet, the average consumer is paying for all these services they could do themselves. Doordash, car wash subscriptions, lawn service etc... I never see neighbors' teens even cutting their yards or washing their own cars. No wonder everyone feels broke.
I live in a HOA community of tract houses full of 30 and 40 somethings with a couple of kids. This is a military community so most of the residents are either active duty military or separated (retired or not) and either working for the DOD as a government employee or a contractor. Most probably have somewhere in the $150k salary range so they are pretty solidly middle class. They constantly complain about the cost of living, and they ain't wrong. They also do absolutely nothing themselves. They do not cut their grass. They do not wash their cars. They do not maintain their homes or cars themselves....a steady stream of contractors in and out of the neighborhood 6 days a week. They don't buy their own groceries, they think NOTHING about paying $30 for a sack of Taco Bell that would cost $10 in person and take less time to drive and get than ordering and waiting for delivery. The cost of living is too damn high but any adult ought to be capable of changing their own oil....

There is absolutely no need to go to a car wash as the weather begins to warm. Pretty soon you'll be seeing kids in cheerleading, band, church youth groups, etc. holding signs out by Wendy's and other places for carwashes. The kids generally do a much better job than an automated carwash, cost less, and the money goes to a good cause.
Apparently, though, these carwashes are good business. I generally have about six or eight so new carwash projects come up for bid with our construction company every month. There must be good money in them or there wouldn't be so many new ones being built every year. (They'll soon outnumber Dollar General stores across the south.)

Time you do it, the cost of the water, it’s cheaper to take to car wash. If I wash mine. My water bill goes up $20 bucks. Nope don’t have a burst pipe.

These are test results of your typical automotive clearcoat. I think it can handle a little car wash soap from time to time.

I got a guy that comes to my work twice a month... inside and outside, plus a complete hand wax

They want to sell monthly passes.

I pay $15 a month for unlimited washes, I think second to best tier offered.
My area place used to have those prices, but the gradually went up to 25 dollars for the lowest tier wash.
I soft cancelled them. I got a new debit card number and they couldn’t charge me again.

$12 for a standard wash
How many hours would it take you to do this yourself? Is your hourly rate higher than $12 an hour?

I mow my own lawn because I’m not a communist. Why would anyone ever do drug when they can just mow a lawn?

And they ask for a tip on the machine now. While the attendant is standing right there watching you press the buttons.

No, it didn't.
You really think costs don't go up over time? Especially in this period of inflation? You're the one who lost their mind.

I remember when Bennys was $3
Benny's is $9 now in Baton Rouge and Gonzales.
It's a ripoff but those machines do a better job than the Tsunami Carwash that costs $10.

I mow my own lawn and wash my car at home because I'm poor.

if you're poor just wash it in your own driveway.

Just curious, where is this? I haven't seen any place that cheap.
East Tennessee. It was the grand opening special - I think it’s like $30 now.
