Yeah, good luck with that.

Yep. I got rear ended on the interstate. Traffic stopped. Dumb bitch 1/4 mile behind me waited till she was 20 feet away to hit her brakes. Saw it coming, tried to avoid but had nowhere to go. That shite hurt.

One of my fears. Shudder to think about it.

There was a tree involved too. No reports of whether or not alcohol was at the party also.

I will never die in a car accident.

This is what I am thinking when I am in the car. I have avoided many accidents with this attitude.

I commute with the Plant Boys aka Operators in the mornings on 10 East.
I fear one of them will be the death of me.

They barrel down I-10 in the pre-dawn soggy air in their custom lifted trucks with LED light Bars blinding everyone ahead of them, carelessly texting and swigging Monster drinks , doing 90 in a 70 and then, without warning, swerve from the Left lane to exit ramp at 73/30/22 with as much caution as a teenager playing Mario Kart.

I have gotten rear-ended THREE times. I tap my brakes multiple times when a car is behind me now. I've even honked when they decide to drive 40 mph behind me before changing lanes at the very last minute. I'm that person.

I was rear ended in a 5 car accident 2 years ago on I-12. I was at the front of the line, the police report was incorrect and had me rear ending someone else (which I didn't do, front of my car was not damaged). I ended up getting sued and I lost because the a-hole plaintiff attorney accused me of cutting someone else off, causing another driver to rear end his client, and threatened to go after me personally, and my insurance didn't want to put my personal assets at risk.

If you are in an accident, try to remember to take pictures of the accident scene, whether or not you are at fault. And make sure police report is accurate.

I don't think they are technically legal on public roads.
But local and LSP are pretty non-existent from Highland to Lutcher at 545 am.
I imagine they know this too.

I thought so too.

Any auxiliary lights above headlight level are illegal to operate on a public roadway. I'm not sure what the language is for, say bumper mounted light bars.

I passed right as the cops were blocking the right lane. The car parts about 100ft away from the actual car that was far into the tree line.

The entire length of I12 is a straight shot pretty much. Yet it gets shut down what seems like daily for crashes. I think 6 out the last 10 times I've driven on it I've had to detour because of a wreck.

Hate that damn road.

Yep, had really got things going in the right direction for the past couple years. Very sad to see someone you grew up with struggle and then find great success to only have it taken away at 25

Way too many people follow too damn close.

Why do they trust the person in front of them, and the one in front of them, that they can't even see the brake lights of?

You know damn well one of them is probably texting.

This doesn't end well at 60+ mph.
