Well maybe the person thats fasting should be considerate and instead of asking a person to change what they are doing maybe just maybe the fasting person should remove themselves from the room instead.

If i walked into a room and someone stated "dont bring that coffee in here im fasting" i would prolly just ignore said person and sit my coffee drinking arse down on a chair. If he were to request it again i would open the door and let him know that there is no coffee outside the door.

Jesus. What’s next. Guys walking into a restaurant and saying they are recovering alcoholics, so everyone put the booze away.

I know each of these words, but not in the order you’ve arranged them.

Good luck with your coffee.

That's just odd.

The times I've had outpatient surgery the waiting room had a large coffee machine where you could help yourself to a cup. Also had a fridge with bottles of water for those waiting.

Seems only fair...they mandate you have someone with you when you check in so that they know you have a way home and someone to look out for you post op. That person should be allowed to eat/drink while they wait.

Tell them they are assuming too much, your cup contents identify as a clear liquid and they must respect it!

I’m going to try that next time I get pulled over. “Officer, the vodka in this Bloody Mary is trans fluid and identifies as water.”

Might only work in California though

Put it in the patient satisfaction survey they will send out.

Go get an orange juice and drink it and tell them you are hypoglycemic and aren't feeling well.

Seriously though...I can be petty as frick (I am a woman after all, I'm hard wired to be petty).

This situation would bring out the petty in me for sure.

I mean...if OP is the ride for someone having outpatient surgery...what are they gonna do? Kick OP out? They won't do that.

You mean the surgical waiting room where they are waiting to have surgery? Seriously?

Fasting doesn’t mean black coffee. Tell them to stop being a bitch and grab a cup of joe.
