Nope. I was a 3.8 student in college but foreign languages kick my arse. I dropped out of Spanish 1001 like 3 times and finally just took Latin to satisfy the requirement. All I had to do was memorize that

This does not necessarily do her justice, but will give you a basic idea. Not only speaks seven languages, graduated from her university in International Economics and Law, and has been in Vogue magazine as a model. I was supposed to see her this month but she has been unable to get a visa from the U.S. consulate due to covid protocols. Possibly in September. That is also her in my sig pic below.

As Bruce Willis once said: "I only speak two languages. English and bad English."

I call bullshite on you getting actually fluent in Spanish simply from picking it up on construction sites. You may know a lot of the construction type vocabulary, ways to describe the weather, maybe how to talk about women, other tangential things, and basic present tense grammar. But no way you picked up all the verb endings
You might be surprised to discover that these fellows aren't "Spanish speaking day laborers." They're actually rather intelligent and interested in many more things than simply what's going on at the job site for the day. The enjoy music, art, literature, history, physics, religion, and all sorts of other things. You find this out when you hang out with them at lunch and show a little interest in things that they might be interested in. You might be surprised by such things that you have missed because of your ethnocentrism.

Oh so who is your favorite Spanish speaking philosopher? What’s your opinion on vosotros usage? Please explain, en español, your favorite physics concept. And tell me the different usages for “ahorita”. How did you pick up all the grammar on your lunch breaks?
You’re a liar dude. Or you have no clue what fluent actually means. Most likely a liar.
Did you figure out how to translate the 10 commandments from Greek when you were becoming fluent in that language too just so you could fact check your pastor? It’s the ninth one in case you need a clue.

Disgusting snooty Spaniard nonsense. I don't need their verb tenses or their lisps

You and me both. I actually met my wife because I paid enough attention in high school Spanish to retain a little bit. I met her at a party in college, got drunk, and spoke some Spanish to her and she thought it was funny. To this day I speak better Spanish when I'm drunk than sober
iirc there's a study that says 1-2 drinks makes people speak foreign languages better because you lose some inhibitions and just flow
