Might be something where he was eligible for Medicaid until the next open enrollment.

Yes he has a substantial bank account. The idiot actually showed it to a friend of mine because everyone figures he's lying and he has North of $1,000,000 in it. They have three cars for only two drivers, one being a Range Rover. Live in a gated golf course community. Send their 3 toddlers to private schools each costing over $10k per year. House is probably worth $550k

With those kind of assets why would he want inferior medical care just to save some money?

Chips is for kids who aren't poor enough to qualify for Medicaid.

How can someone that is showing over $200k per year in income be on Medicaid?

this happens quite a lot actually... and i hope with every ounce of my being that each and every single one of them is caught and found guilty... this is no better than people refusing to go get a job so they can just ride the system.... frick both groups of people... both groups make it very hard on those that have legitimate needs and cases for governmental subsidies....

If he is in a state that expanded Medicaid then I don't think his assets even come into play. It's strictly income. He probably applied in that small window of time when he had no income.

Perhaps his family enjoys good health. Knock on wood, I haven't been to a doctor in a long time. Nor my kids.

No.

He would have to blow all that money and all his assets then apply for Medicaid in about 5 years of losing his last dollar.

I believe they go back and check 5 years of your bank account-asset information

It may not be Medicaid, but with Obamacare it’s very easy to qualify for a large subsidy if you run all your expenses through your business. It’s a loophole but difficult to fix under the current law.

opened up his own business
This is the key. If he has his own business, he can pay himself a salary that makes him Medicaid-eligible. The company would own the house, cars, boats, etc. He would have the use them as an "employee" of the company. In addition to being a chickenshit way to treat his fellow taxpayers, it's also VERY illegal. At a minimum, he would be looking at full reimbursement to Medicaid if caught. At worst, he'd get some significant incarceration.

Huh? He obviously makes plenty of money and knows how to. The kids will be fine and chances are he'll be a bad influence on his kids if he is so greedy as it seems that he's willing to use other people's money to supplement his luxurious lifestyle. This is the exact type of behavior all of those scam artists from American Greed exhibit. Always loop holing shite. That's not the right kind of rich.

If he makes good money then turn his arse in. Make him pay. I would do it in a heart beat to teach him a lesson and in turn he'll be able to teach his kids that lesson.

Tell him you'll turn him in if he doesn't report his situation.

My family would kill me if they found out I turned them in. If someone else wants/knows how to I would happily e-mail you a picture of the insurance card. I know the OT can do some work on things like this.

There's definitely going to be some folks here who want in on this. Give it a sec.

when it comes to bringing the internet to IRL, the OT can get shite done with the quickness....

when i tore that confederate flag down off that dude's truck at the place i used to work at, someone from here, sure enough, called and tried to report the "incident", but they didn't have enough information, so it sounded sketchy and someone alerted me to the call.... i took care of it before it could possibly be something, but i learned that shite here can "get real" with the quickness....

One of my friends was on Medicaid and it was a real lifesaver for her. One time she called 911 because she was having chest pains and thought it was a heart attack. The ambulance came and got her and took her to the er. The doctor was working on her and she was freaking out thinking she was gonna die. Luckily the cause of the chest pain was an Oreo cookie stuck under one of her fat rolls

Why did you do that?

1.) i've always hated that flag and all that it stood to represent
2.) it was in a very "urban" part of town, so the person knew EXACTLY what they were doing
3.) seeing it pissed me off...

was i wrong to do it? yeah, probably, since i guess it would be considered vandalism or something, but i'd do it again every single day, and twice on Sunday, if given the opportunity...

i just wouldn't say anything about it here again....
