Yeah I don't get the confusion either.
My favorites are the ones where someone just posts the link to an image online because they "don't know how to post pics" or they are "on mobile". It's the same exact process.

You would think, with recent technological advancements and all, that there would be a simple photo icon that I could press and simply upload a picture, as we all do with texts.

when someone teaches you how to do it, also learn how to put "width= 500" just before the [/img] tag when posting behind large pictures.
