Looks like it sprays fluid when I make left turns. Figured I can make it home if I stay in a straight line. Have a thing of fluid if I need to top it off.

It’s a 2007 F150 with 157K. I was hoping I’d get to 200k, but I may just have to trade this bitch in. I’ll stop at a mechanic and see if it’s worth it. Do y’all have suggestions? I heard K&M and Tony Lee are both good. Maybe Ting at Highland Car Care

K&M - ask for Jason.

Highland Car Care - Tinh.

Both are great and honest people / service repair centers.

Of course, you don't have to turn.

Thanks baw.

Interesting note - when I was testing it yesterday, every time I turned, it made this horrible humming sound. Today - no sound. I wonder if that stop leak shite works

Yes. Passenger side, looks like it’s coming out of that boot on the PS rack. I think it only comes out on left turns

The stop leak can work if it's a small leak.

Just keep some fluid in the truck and hope it's a hose. If it's a hose it shouldnt be to bad to fix and you can get 200k.

Just don't burn up the pump.

Had a Toyota spraying fluid like that one time. Bought 2 bottles of Lucus power steering stop leak thinking no way it would work. Used only one bottle and it never leaked again and we kept the car for probably 5 years after that.

Ya, I had a leak in and old mustang. When you start hearing the whine, stop and fill it up.

I'd be more worried about trans fluid getting on the exhaust manifold or cat convertor and starting a fire.

Even if all of the fluid leaks out, you can still steer, it's just really hard to turn the slower you're going. Old time vehicles didn't have power steering, they had big steering wheel to get more leverage. On a short trip like this you won't burn up the pump...there will be residual fluid that will lubricate things.
