People relocating is why the politics in Americas major cities are shite - and why judges and DA’s are not tough on crime.
Go ahead and blame the victims for leaving. Makes total sense.

St. George would help, not by some magic forcefield, but by keeping muddle/upper class voters in the Parish.
Government Street wouldn't suddenly be in St George though.

And that's a shame, but potentially the St. George, Zachary, and Central blocs could elect some competent City/Parish leadership.
It's a long shot, but St. George would help.

The only way to save Baton Rouge is the same way to save our entire society. And it’s not going to happen because not enough people have the stomach or moral intestinal fortitude for it.
The rot has set in to the point we’ve reached the point of no return as a society. The whole thing is going to eventually collapse and have to be rebuilt. Does that happen in our lifetime? That’s to be seen.

Doubtful in my lifetime. Maybe in my children's though.

Unless you live in a walled off gated community with a security guard there's nothing stopping thugs from coming into your neighborhood.

Doubly so if you end up in the ER.

No. Once BR loses the tax revenue from St. George it is all over.

Problems with cities like Baton Rouge and Jackson is neither will ever get the helping hand of nonpartisan leadership and decision making.

It's time to get the frick outta here. Baton Rouge had a good run but it's over.

BR is better than Jackson but it's trending really poorly. In 2022 maybe 33% of BR is decent/nice. In 1990 that was probably 67%. In 2040 it will probably be 10%.

So you’re going to send her to Tulane?
Definitely not Nol
I don't want to thread-jack, and I definitely didn't want to jump into the other thread, but I'll quietly recommend you look at Purdue.

Republicans are also to blame for Jackson's issues. Not necessarily crime but operational and infrastructure, absolutely. The Republican leaders in this state are dead weight.

Nope. Get out while you can still extract value from your home. It will be the best decision you’ve ever made
