Dude. You're about to get broke off for a degree your daughter can get anywhere, that will also likely be replaced by AI in the near future. Congrats

FWIW, she’s wanting to specialize in marketing.

It's not worth spending that much money for a marketing degree. Signed, a 20-year marketing and communications vet.

C o C is really bad.
That is not much of an improvement. Its only advantage for girls is that the Citadel is nearby and offers a steady supply of guys to bed down with.

Great school. They are setting up their students for huge success with their new programs. They are getting them involved in real world situations and having companies that are joining with them to get the students great experience. Hands on stuff.
The degree is huge in the marketing and advertising worlds currently.

This is wrong now that they have partnered with these companies. It’s a killer marketing degree.

I’m going to try to steer her toward Jacksonville State here in north Alabama. It’s a good in-state school, nice campus in a small college town. And it’s only about 45 minutes from the house.

I knew a guy ages ago who went to SCAD back when it was the holy grail of artsy prestige — and priced accordingly. He was studying web design, but he dropped out once he realized his talent was doing just fine without a five-figure permission slip.

My daughter is in her last year of Med School at Medical College of Georgia. She will be an OBGYN doctor for less than the cost of a liberal arts degree from SCAD.

I’ll add a few more very’s to that. I’ve been to Savannah twice and can verify that.

Son graduated from there in 3D animation.
Works from his home in marketing for a pharmaceutical company out of jersey.
He absolutely loves it and gives a lot of credit to SCAD.

His closest friends are with people he met there and they and their families are some awesome, fun and outgoing folks.

And yes, she definitely will not come back the way when she went in. I mean this in a good way.

P.S. Love your work!

It’s an urban campus spread out all over the city.

The only person I ever met that went to school there was a store front designer who regretted going there as what she really wanted to do was visual art and she said she could have just learned it on YouTube and TikTok, and then taken a portfolio to a design studio.

But

I talked to her for like 20 minutes before a plane ride so, she may have been a kook.

FWIW they put on one of the best halftime performance I've ever seen in Tiger Stadium back in 2016.

For those who don't know, it's not Jacksonville, Florida nor an HBCU.

From the Auburn game that year.

Hard school to finish for a fair number of students due to the many distractions the area offers (beaches, King Street, etc.). A decent number end up coming back home.

Nah. Tiger through and through.

If you want, i can have him meet you at the Sonic and you can ask him for yourself.
I really wouldn't recommend that though.
