In the 80's there were bikini's designed to seemingly accentuate that area with a strategically placed seam. Or maybe it was just for a swimsuit worn by my girlfriend at the time, Heather Thomas...?

Since the 80s there have been bikinis with what is called a "scrunch back" bottom. I have several in my collection of model wardrobe. Have not seen any in real life made like this in the front as the one in your pic of Heather.
