I would say let them eat outside by themselves, but your wife would probably end up going outside which takes away from a family event.

If they are I am not sure why they would even want to come even before considering how the woke feel about Thanksgiving and the indians, but if they do tell them up front how it’s happening and let them decide if they can abide by that.
If they now are just harping on other woke crap unless they are asses about it and/or do it with most discussions constantly turning them into political arguments I would probably invite them. You can always start coughing or whatever is biggest sign of Covid or flu.

I invite them over. My inlaws are the same. If they say something stupid, just ask them questions politely until they look like idiots. I enjoy it. Better than bullshite small talk.

The worst person in my family(really my wife’s family)is a QAnon guy. The woke nieces are pleasant compared to him.

My family is all conservative and we are visiting them in Ruston. Wife’s family has some liberal cousins and all they want to discuss is politics. We’re going to have to deal with that at Christmas. Last time the father n law got up and told them to shut the frick up, that nobody gives a shite about their political views and demanded nobody talk politics again at their house, lots of laughter and applause after his outburst been married over 25 years and only time I’ve seen him yell
Eta: to clarify, they were antagonizing everyone, calling us bigots and racist, same usual shite they always say. Everyone kept trying to change the subject to something else and the libtards weren’t going to have it, kept going back to politics
