and if they choose to infect the gathering with politics, THEN say something.
I would imagine politics will be brought up if these idiots needed doors to be open during covid to go inside
Hopefully the wife realizes her family sucks

Thanksgiving 2020….they demanded that we have dinner outside, wore masks the whole time (outside), and wouldn’t go inside to use the restroom unless the front and back door were open.

Get over yourself and act like an adult?
wanting to enjoy thanksgiving w/o woke trash stinking up the joint is a very adult move. making decisions based on beliefs and not trying to please everyone.

But you still have the wife to consider.
Her sister bullies her with the libtard shite. My wife is not a liberal by most measures, but pretends to agree with her sisters viewpoints as to not upset her.
ETA. Yes I know she’s a better person than I am.

What’s the OT stance on not inviting the in-laws over due to excessive wokeness? This year I just had enough and didn’t invite them, even though my own mother is coming over.
To put a cherry on top of the situation, the MIL is calling my wife demanding that I put food aside for her to come pick up.
good move. smart move. tell your in-laws you mean no ill will and aren't out to get them. they're free to celebrate thanksgiving any way they want, without your family. no curbside pickup, not sure what the problem is.

Just make a rule that no politics can be discussed during Holidays if that is what you have to do.

pics of the wife to determine if she's worth the drama.

Tell her it’s being donated to non-binary indignant people of color (I mean, you are a color, right)?

You got banned from thanksgiving because you won't shut up about stolen elections and jewish space lasers. Be honest.

Why don't you just man up and invite them and be who you want to be in your house?

If they want to wear masks then let them. If they want to sit outside then let them. If they want to go to the bathroom then tell them to figure out how to get the door open.

Don't talk politics or religion.
That's rule No. 1 for familty gatherings.

It's your house, be who you are. We usually host events, because we have the biggest layout for such events. Since we're at my house, I do as I please. I will accommodate some things as best I can, but if I want to have a beer or something, and someone doesn't like the drinking, it's not my problem.

Just put on an old Redd Foxx comedy album. Everyone will laugh and laugh. Then, have everyone read aloud random posts from the poli board. Alcohol helps alot in these situations.

Damn, I'd have told them to get fricked back in 2020. My house, my rules. Like it or leave.

He was banned from Thanksgiving?
How do you get that from reading what he posted?
You must be a Democrat (low IQ).

My Sister in law is a complete progressive lunatic. She has BLM stickers on her car and all that shite. I absolutely can’t stand to be in the same room with her for more than five minutes.
My wife and I avoid any topic that can be in the least controversial with her. We keep visits with her to an absolute minimum.
