me and some buddies took a trip from SD down to Rosarito beach a copule years back. There were plenty of white english speaking people there, and the bars we went to were all playing english music and spoke in English. Being so close to the border I have to think it gets a good many Americans coming down from SD. Point being...this is a place that would probably get a lot of dollars from guys like this so they probably don't want a reputation of killing folks. This makes me think he was probably up to no good and doing things he probably shoudln't have. I jsut can't imainge some of hte locals picking this guy out at random for no reason whatsoever and killing him.

You're being sarcastic, but...he probably did. He's a public defender in Cali.

That is where they had the sketchy bartenders drugging drinks and taking advantage of women.

Also few years ago they had shootings at a packed night club in Cancun. Makes 'Scarface' look like a Disney movie.

Not even the fact that you can fall victim under a hijacking targeting only tourists.

PV is awesome. At least when I sent a couple years ago. I think it’s the safest tourist destination in Mexico. Acapulco, not so much. Didn’t think it was a big tourist spot anymore. Cartels run the show there.

That's b/c Acapulco peaked during the 70's up to the 90's.

Go here abt every other year. Stay in private owned condos (not resorts), go out every night to eat and hang out. Hike through the jungle to hidden beaches. Ride horses up into the Sierra Madre, etc...I feel safer there than I do in most American urban areas.

I went to Acapulco once about 15 years ago and stayed at the princess….it’s super nice, or was anyway. But there’s no way I’d have gone outside the gates.

Yeah, that place looks sketchy as shite. Not what comes to mind when I hear about a “resort” in Mexico or anywhere.

If you go to the State Department website, you can see all the travel advisories for the various parts of Mexico. Baja/Tijuana, where this man died, has a "Reconsider travel due to crime and kidnapping" advisory. I recently flew down to another part of Mexico that was under a similar travel advisory. Even the "nice" parts of Mexico are very dangerous now. That is not to mention the parts of Mexico under a "do not travel to" advisory because drug cartels and not the Mexican government control vast areas of the country.

It is crazy that all of this organized violent crime is happening just across our border. Our current executive branch is not at all concerned, in fact their policies are emboldening the criminals and lawlessness. It is a despicable situation.

Looks more like a place you'd stay during a fishing trip.
