California is not messing around when it comes to social distancing to prevent the spread of coronavirus during this pandemic. After skaters ignored the "no trespassing" signs on a popular skatepark in San Clemente, extreme measures were taken to prevent people from going to the spot. To be certain no one would go there to hang out or skate, the park was filled with sand -- a whopping 37 tons of it, according to CBS Los Angeles.

This has nothing to do with protecting people, this is about power. One of the only things getting me through this quarantine is disrespecting the concrete with my boys. I would love to see them try and fill brec with sand and see how it turns out

First they came for the nail salons... and did not speak... then they came for the skate boarders...

What a complete waste of time and resources. 37 tons of sand to ruin a good time for healthy young people who have almost no chance of dying from Rona.

“I’m sorry we care more about saving lives than you do about your stupid skate parks! And it’s not like the government is going to make this permanent!”

Gonna be fun getting the work release folks to dig out the used condoms and needles that have been baking in the California summer sun for a couple months when/if they decide to open it back up.
Maybe it can be a school project or a Boy Scout badge deal. The "Tetanus and AIDS Survival" badge.

It’s amazing this shite is happening. For example, San Clemente is in Orange County which has over 3 million residents. Of 3M+ people, 28 have died from corona. According to the Orange Co. Health Agency, 1501 people “have been affected” by it.

So about .000009 of the population has died from corona. And about .0005 “have been affected” by it. At this point, it’s obvious corona isn’t the Great Mortality that many seem to want it to be.

Incredible overreach on so many levels. I wonder if there will be any laws to prevent this from ever happening again.

Don’t we just need 14 days of decline and then go back to normal?

Lots of really rigid minded people who never understood what social distancing was about.

It's like they're intentionally trying to piss off the people to appease the Karen's.
