Our country is so screwed. When will people wake up? But I guess even when they do, what can WE the people actually do to push back against this??

Why the hate. Just passing along information. And we all can see where the trend is going. I am personally under the belief 6-12 goes virtual and then spread out k-5 among all the districts schools to lessen the interactions and keep the kids safe. I think that would be the best policy to keep k-5 in schools all semester and keep the kids sare

Students won't even have to test positive, just have a student miss a couple of days and another student mention it, then the parent runs to FB to start a panic

The LAE is the most powerful and is the one pushing to keep schools closed until a ridiculous metric - zero new cases for two weeks - is met.

APEL I believe has just as many if not more members right now, especially among new teachers.
But I'd say not many newer teachers are in a union as Ascension and LP we both above 75% on teachers wanting to return to the classroom for internal polls. They are the silent majority not those outspoken moonbats that want to stay at home while getting paid

That may be true but this silent majority doesn’t control political donations and union positions.
