Interesting. I wonder why the then California governor didn't close the schools in 2009 during the Obama administration after 1800 children had died from H1N1?

So no using regular allotment of sick days and no dipping into ESL/short-term disability?

Correct since the CDC requires 14 days many teachers where concerned this would wipe them of sick days and cost them later. This was a compromise

That’s my point. If a governor issues a wide reaching order, then the local unions and districts are protected from criticism and revolt.

Yet if enough teachers (75% from most polls) come out against that they will have to retract because the loudest minority doesn't speak for the majority. Teachers union has bowed out before because they knew they were going to face backlash
