Being denied service by Masterpiece Cakeshop was offensive and dehumanizing especially in the midst of arranging what should be a joyful family celebration,” said Mullins. “No one should fear being turned away from a public business because of who they are. We are grateful to have the support of our community and our state, and we hope that today’s decision will help ensure that no one else will experience this kind of discrimination again in Colorado.”
ACLU statement on winning case against Colorado bakery. frick a double standard.

Another statement from the coffee shop:
These school shootings are ridiculous. We must do something about the guns. Only police officers should be allowed to carry firearms.

The cafe claims that supporters of the police department are trying to shame the restaurant with low reviews because the cop who was denied service was Latino.
Oh, like every proggy does anytime they don’t agree with something done by a conservative business?

Could this same coffee shop refuse service to blacks or Arabs because some people feel threatened by them?

Police Union should be able to sue just like the frickers that sued the cake shop b/c he didn’t want to make a cake for a gay wedding. So, instead of going to another shop they sued him.
Same shite... where is the SJW uproar over this? It’s discrimination... isn’t that part of what they stand for?
Oh wait... it doesn’t forward their agenda, so it’s okay.

Chances are they make more money off selling heroin than coffee so probably a good business decision.

aint gonna happen. dont you know there are normal person rules and then liberal person rules? they make them up as they please regardless of consistency and logic.

So a bakery gets shut down for not wanting to bake a "gay" cake.
Praise for the coffee shop that refuses to serve police?
I don't think I'm going to pass this test anytime soon.

We have one here that did that shite. Even locked the door, when protestors ran in, so cops couldn't arrest them for property damage. Then went on a long tangent about bullshite, basically kowtowing to SJW crowd.

How's their business these days?

Hipsters and SJW have kept it going at the popularity it was before. It's close enough for SLU college kids to make it their daily ritual.
And wouldn't be shocked if East Coast students at Wash U were coming over and promoting it.

my spanish isn't very good but isn't Hasta Muerte translated to "quick death?"
odd name for a coffee shop but maybe accurate if they ever need the cops.

Maybe if cops dressed less like storm troopers and more like Andy Taylor, there wouldn’t be the issue of people feeling intimidated.
But the cops want you to be intimidated, and this is what intimidated looks like.

I actually do support police and i still believe this business has every right to not serve whoever they choose.
That’s where the beauty of capitalism and free market comes in.
If one place doesn’t work for you, choose another.

It's their right to do so, as dumb of a reason as it may be.
Apparently it isn't. A bakery in Oregon had to go out of business and was fined $135000 for refusing to make a cake for a same sex marriage. There's a similar case in Colorado.

businesses should be able to discriminate for any reason whatsoever
Posted on 3/11/18 at 12:50 pm to GreatLakesTiger24
What should happen is that all businesses should be held to the same standard of service.

As an LEO, I support their right to refuse service to police officers. And legally, I understand. Police officers aren't a "protected class" under the law the same way minorities and homosexuals are.
But they better not complain when criticism comes their way.

They are applauded because it’s a leftist shop. But how dare a right leaning shop do something like that they’d be shut down
