Because most or all of it is unreported income. Or they are lying. The EBT program gets it's income data from the IRS. Once that is reported, it could take several months before the recipient is cut-off or reduced.

Correct. 20 years ago my 20 years daughter got pregnant and had a daughter. They lived with me. When she applied for aid, we had to report household income and circumstance.
Maybe it was only because she's white.

Guy/girl never get married. They live together like a married couple, have kids, etc. since they’re never married she doesn’t have to claim him on any income and the govt thinks she’s raising two kids on her own.
Take it one more, he buys the house, then “rents” it to her …the govt then pays for her rent AND in some cases he gets a stipend for turning it section 8 to rent to low income tenants.
The system is setup to be abused.

I myself as an elder millennial didn’t want to accept that content creators could make a life out of it bc many of them are so insufferable. (It seems as though that profession attracts that type) However reality has shifted and it absolutely is viable and can be very appealing if you do it right.
Many people just STILL don’t want to accept it.
