That's good living. If 2 kids and contribute 15k into 401k, they would pay 1400 in fed taxes.

Per chatgpt, $74k take home pay after a 15k 401k.

EBT with over 100K income.

We've been past due on cleaning up entitlements and welfare. There are no good reasons for those benefits to not have strict rules and renewal terms attached. Then again, we can't trust our state to actually be in charge of that.

While we sit here and get asked every election cycle for tax increases. Every government agency needs to be audited and cleaned up. From the national to the local levels.

I'm sure most people here have a story about someone pulling up and in an expensive car who then goes in to buy luxury food items with welfare. I know I do. Its infuriating. Fraud is rampant but I know that nothing will ever be really done about it. It's political suicide for anyone to disagree with it.

Our society has become soft and full of people who have never been allowed to fail and work to get out of those situations. We prop up people who have no ambition nor will to better themselves.

100k is plenty to live. You are going to have to sacrifice yearly vacations that cost 10k. You're going to have to eat ribeyes only on special occasions. You may have to drive a used car for 10 years before you save up enough to afford a nicer one. Guess what, life is hard sometimes.

Dude was worth north of $20Mil after 5 years of doing this “fake” job. Likely worth more now, I don’t think he needs a “real” job.

I'd say each and every single solitary elected State/US Rep and Senator should be as they willfully do nothing about the entitlement and handout grift, and have for decades and decades. This is theft without even breaking and entering.

Owning a company and managing employees isn't a job anymore?

She said she's not claiming the dude as being in her household, so she's only showing her lower income to be able to qualify for benefits. A coworker once told me it's also a thing to get married but never actually make it paperwork official, so that the lower earner can still claim benefits. It's fraud.

That’s also the obvious reason they don’t have any shared bank accounts, and not because of their dramatic side story.

Since all of the eligibility systems are integrated, I guarantee her and the boys also receive Medicaid, WIC, early steps, and probably some form of permanent supportive housing. …which turns their $500/mo claim into about $4k/mo.

Think of how much money would be available without the massive fraud taking place in our country.

So many levels of fraud and stealing. F these people and everyone like them.

System failure all around

Not enough workers and time to force these fathers to provide for their unwed children

Much easier to just handout the money

For some that receive these benefits, including discounted housing, are also given preference for top notch jobs to meet a quota

The woman gets the freebies and the man gets a great job…for those that will work

It’s a racket that is best not to think about

100k in Louisiana is more than enough to not need EBT.

I make about 55k would I be eligible if they are.

I guess I have to check the box that says Native American, black, or immigrant.

Tarps, I can attest you identify with whatever marginalized group you wish as that's the apparent requisite. You affidavit we've been best friends since tge 2nd grade, and I'll affidavit every time we played cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians, you chose robbers and Indians every time.

They can chose to accept your application as Black or Native American. 100% approved.

Pretty ignorant to go out and publicly admit to fraud.

It’s so common that people have grown up with it. It’s just the way it is to them and they don’t view it as being wrong.
