While I don't agree with the publicizing and deal making with ESPN, I don't have any issue with this. Agree or not, it is a fascinating topic with tons of different ways to talk about it.
This whole situation talks about identity, fame, relevance, mental health, and the absurdity of it all.

For one, who gives a shite what a 90-year old washed out journalist thinks?
Two, that's fine. "Most fascinating" can mean a lot of things. TIME Magazine puts out a person of the year award and it can go to some really awful people.
Jenner is a bit fascinating. He's made a lifestyle choice that is considered faux pax and disgusting by most of America and captured the spotlight to be celebrated. It really is fascinating if you think about it.

Here's what infuriates me about this garbage. If the will forte version of jenna maroney from 30 rock (for those who haven't seen, WF dresses like a famous actress because he's 100% fricked up in teh head, and lives his life as her) walked up to barbara walters, or oprah, or the president, or any of these fricks who think this is cool, security would be on them so fast your head would spin. They'd be arrested and potentially jailed. They might go to counseling, or myabe just sit in jail for a while. Meanwhile, a celebrity does it and aw man we should be so in awe about how courageous he is! Makes me sick.
