1500 per month... drop the NY premium off and maybe we get down to 1000 or 1200 per month? A typical car note is going to be 750+/mo for anything nice on a 36 month term.

This deal includes insurance and maintenance too. That's another 100+ per month eaten up. It really doesn't seem that bad, especially if you are the type who always wants to be in a new vehicle.

Interesting concept. Too expensive though. I could see it taking off if it was $500/month. Maybe even less.

People that can throw $1500/month towards a vehicle aren't going to give a shite about swapping out Cadillacs.

It's the younger folks wanting to impress people that will want to swap out vehicles throughout the year.

Obviously yes.

You think if you ram a school bus with their car they are just gonna pay for it because you give them $1500 a month?

Not worth the trouble of having to reset the radio station preset buttons every time you got a new car. Epic fail.

They should probably include "Corvette" with the Cadillac subscription.

Insurance on the vehicle, but your liability will most likely not be covered.

If you get hammered and run over a homeless guy they aren't just gonna take care of it for you.

That's why you would pay for it with American Express and carry a balloon policy which would cover you for any amounts over the limitations set forth in the $1500 a month.

The service is starting in New York so of course prices are going to be high. If they expand to southern states I expect a monthly price around $1000. Cost of living in New York is high.

you'd likely have to carry some supplemental insurance as well, but it should still be somewhat cheaper than if you had to foot the entire thing

The service will grant users access to an app which will let you request to swap between current year Cadlillacs including the XT5, CT6, Escalade, and V Series at will without having to pay extra for registration, insurance, or maintenance, all of which are included in the monthly fee.

So a subscription service for high end cars?

This actually isn't a bad idea.

Would be awesome if they occasionally throw a '59 Coupe in there with a higher tier subscription.

They're actually receiving positive feedback so I expect other brands to follow. Remember when SlingTV launched and people didn't think it would lbe successfull? A year later we have DirectTV Now.

And that's only the livery-grade XTS. Not even a V-series or the new CT6.

I'm sure they may adjust pricing up or down or eventually restrict availability, but IMO Cadillac may be onto something.
