marketing flyers/brochures etc.

If you had to get one, which one is more likely to get your attention?

Definitely fax. You should also send out notifications via your AOL account.

I wouldn't want to do business with any company that still relies on fax machines.

What your offer is will be more important than the medium. It needs to be both relevant and compelling, something I'm doubtful of with such a broad audience of "Business owners and section managers".

Most people use email now, but everybody in my industry uses fax too. More as a back up if email is acting up.

i delete every "constant contact" or marketing email i get, without opening. nothing makes me angrier than clogging my inbox with unsolicited email, because that is my primary communication tool with my customers/vendors/subs/etc

it might sound old fashioned, but i am much more likely to read a letter

Emails / calls / faxes (lol) solicitating services or products from unestablished relationships are deleted with a quickness.

I need to meet you through a trusted third party or selective conference before I listen to a pitch. Oh and that pitch better include a meal or a nice happy hour.

Email. But the subject has to be creative. A good one was "You can't spell success without..." So I just had to find out if I was spelling success correctly.

I have a fax number but all faxes go to my email. It is really useful when a client provides hard copy documents that I want to have electronically but they don't scan to email for external recipients.
