You seem to be the only 40 + plus guy that is obsessed with frats so I doubt it would work

What exactly makes a bar "old school frat style"? Cheap drinks, loud, and dirty?

If the 35 and up male crowd can bang sorostitutes at will then I see exactly no problem with that business model.

Otherwise, nyet.

Well if it's anything like Murphys, you need a piss reeking bathroom with ice in the urinals. No tables or chairs.

I'd say plenty of barstools, extremely dirty bathrooms, and xanax in the drinks

This sounds like a horrible business plan.

It will end up attracting old white trash.

I mean, no way in hell would I wanna go to a Tigerland type bar in this day and age. I don't want cheap, shitty drinks in a crappy environment where fights jump off every night.

The people 35+ who went to Murphy's now go to Olive or Twist, Hayride Scandal, the bar at Juban's. They aren't regressing to a dump.

I've talked to a few guys through the years who have floated the idea of an over-40 type of bar either downtown or wherever.

There is no market for this idea. At this age (35 +), people are married, probably have kids, not looking for a new club. There are enough places where they can still fit in, stay until 10 or so and get home to pay the babysitter.

It's one thing to relish in good memories of your time in frat or sorority days. Its entirely another to never out grow it.
