Do all the BK's fail to greet you at the order speaker and wait until you holler at them or is that just mine?

Do all the BK's hold a hand out the window to stop you before you start the service timer or is that just mine?

Do all the BK's make you pull up past the window and then back up again to reset the service timer or is that just mine?

Do all the BK's close randomly in the middle of the day or is that just mine?

Do all the BK's keep the store closed and only serve the drive-through or is that just mine?

The one on Sherwood near I-12 will surely be one of them. I was surprised to see 1 car in line there a couple days ago. Usually the place looks deserted.

Taste suffered after they got rid of the conveyor belt griller.

They're all terrible in my experience. How they lack the self awareness that their service is putrid and haven't fixed it is beyond me

Shocker those 10 nuggets for $1.49 of ankle meat didn’t turn a profit

Fast food chains are dying. They are neither fast nor cheap anymore which used to be the entire appeal of them.

I used to like Burger King, but I can’t think of a good experience at one in the last 10 years. I rarely eat at BK and it has been awful the last few times I tried it.

I actually like BK's burgers more than McDonald's but they have to be the shittiest ran fast food restaurants in LA. I never go to one when I want junk food because it'll be a 20 minute wait.

Same.

About 20 years ago a co-worker and I had to go to Lacross, WI to do some training. We got in on a Sunday evening and pretty much every restaurant between the airport and our hotel was closed, except for a Burger King. We were the only customers there (I think there may have been one or two going through the drive-through). Imagine our surprise when the manager came out just five minutes later and gave us coupons for free Whoppers because our food wasn't ready yet.

The point of the story: their slowness isn't systemic, it's from poor management and poor employees.

I love me a Whopper but they are the slowest chain in the business. The one in Dutchtown can't seem to keep employees and the one in St Francisville is terribly slow as well.

I wonder if the ones here will close.

Here's a LINK

Some are, especially in the US.

However, BK has doubled their number of international locations in the last 10 years (from 5k to 10k).

It’s actually quite impressive.

Near the intersection of Bonnabel and Vets there were 3 BK's within a mile to mile and a half.. 2 of them closed and the 1 at Oaklawn and Vets stayed.. That one has been there for 50+ years.. The first BK I went to is at Carrolton and Claiborne and that place is still there.. After Church on Sunday with my family. That was a big treat back then.

Would eat there more often if the fries didn’t absolutely suck. Easily worst fries of any chain.

This is exactly right. The prices have sky rocketed and the portions get smaller. Canes had def fallen into this trap. Chick fil a imo has the best food and service, but the prices are just stupid high.

Never tried in-n-out?

BK has a solid rewards app.

I figured the quick casual chains like Panera and Chipotle would whittle down the fast food giants at some point, not to mention more and more specialty burger places like Five Guys and a bunch of sub joints. I am not sure how McDonald's still does well. My guess is breakfast and coffee drinks.

The last time I had a Whopper I started throwing up 30 more minutes later.

I like the Whopper Combo. But I agree, they're slow as Christmas. But I don't mind as long as my burger is fresh and the fries aren't soggy. Soggy fries? That's a deal breaker for me.

So BK is shutting down 500 locations? Welcome to Joe Biden's America.

I have grown to dislike fast food more and more since the plandemic.

Sick of drive thru only. Sick of shitty service. Don’t want to pay table service prices for fast food.

I’d rather eat gas station food in many cases.

I imagine the industry is correcting from this. Overbuilt, no need for as many locations for delivery, etc.

Most McDonald’s I go to have decent service and the breakfast is the bomb. Look at it this way… where there is a McDonald’s, there is a Burger King. And in every instance when I pass by the McDonald’s I’d kicking arse
And the BK has nobody there. On a sat morning you can double that. But in todays fast paced society people don’t cook anymore and still pay those high arse prices for fast food.
