The one in Raymond, MS. Just west of Jackson. A literal jungle.

Raymond doesn’t have a Walmart or anything close to a Walmart. The one on hwy 18 is firmly in the middle of South Jackson.

The one in New Roads is decent. It’s like a town scandal for days and warrants a huge chain of Facebook posts any time someone strange is sighted in the parking lot. That’s how uneventful it is.

I'm kind of tempted to take a stroll through the local Wally to see if the ratio of Spanish to English has shifted at all since the last time I was in it 6 months ago.

I used to live a few miles from a walmart in Irondale, and in a 2 week span, a lady gave birth in the store, a guy pulled a knife and threatened customers and had to be apprehended, and an elderly woman got mugged in the parking lot.

The walmart in in Gulf Breeze that we stop by sometimes is probably the best I have been to. Milfs everywhere, super nice and attentive employees, clean, and minimal crazies.

I’m not sure when you went there but I drive across town to go to that Walmart and I’ve never had that type of experience. The shoppers are diverse but I’ve never witnessed anything I wouldn’t expect from a Walmart. I think it’s the best Walmart in BR.

You’ve just been there that one time? I go fairly often. It seems like any other Walmart in town to me. They probably just had a bad day.

Worst: Walmart on Chef Menteur Hwy in New Orleans

Best: Walmart on Whitestone Blvd in Cedar Park, TX (Austin suburb)

We thought we'd seen some Walmarts in the southeast. Then we were up north and Mr. Turf needed his Diet Dr.Pepper. He went into one in Morgantown West by God Virginia, and came out with the DP and muttering about the locals.

When I lived in Pine Bluff they closed the supercenter that was attached to the mall due to theft. They waited a few years to build a new one.

The Dillard's attached to the same mall closed for the same reason

That’s the WM I go to normally, and I’ve never seen too much of a “people of WM” vibe there. I’d say 99% of my experiences there have been completely normal.

Does that mean the “people of WM” is me…? Hmmm.

Honestly, the Burbank WM is the only one I'll go to around BR. It's generally very clean and the employees are actually helpful. I think you just caught them on a bad day.

Very pleasant: Watson and a few in NW Arkansas

Decades ago, I found myself in an Arkansas Walmart, looking for something stupid like a local postcard to send back home to BTR (I said it was decades ago). A cloud of friendly, helpful salespeople materialized all around me and after much discussions directed me to some tiny store down the road which, yep, had a rack full of said postcards.

I'm not driving back to Dinkville, AR just to check, but I bet the WM there is still nice. At least I hope so.

I ask: what Walmarts would you consider to be the best/worst that you’ve experienced?

Wal Mart in Thornton, Colorado. It must be cultural. Clean, neat store with clean parking lot. Amazing.
